Suffolk Pride on Parade 2014
|We will be joining forces with Ipswich Borough Council to host “Suffolk Pride: On Parade” a spectacular, one-day parade and music celebration, part of next year's IpArt festival, on Saturday 21st June 2014.
Pride events, which happen every year in the UK and abroad, celebrate the diversity of sexual orientation and gender identity within particular cities and countries.
Our aims for the event are to raise awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender life in Suffolk and to celebrate the diversity of our Suffolk community, as a whole.
Sign up to the Facebook event here.
Along with our ‘straight allies’ and some major sponsors, we will be forming a public parade at the Dance East Jerwood Dance House in Ipswich before making our way to the town’s ‘waterfront’ area, where a music stage and community stands and stalls as well as other acts and entertainment will be waiting!
Help get the word out!
The more people we tell about Pride, the bigger the event will be and the more people we can reach when we tell them that we're proud to be LGB&T and proud to be in Suffolk!
This press release can be downloaded and emailed and/or printed to help you get the word out - all you need to do is click on the link!
Businesses on board
In the past, businesses and organisations have really stepped up to the plate to donate vital funds to support Suffolk's LGB&T community at Pride.
We're also offering the chance for free publicity and promotion, and other benefits, in return for a donation.
If you're the type that can't keep away from running marathons, baking cakes and growing a fancy mustache once a year, we want to hear from you.
