We are a registered charity and support organisation that promotes equality and diversity in Suffolk. Our fundamental aim is to combat sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination.
There are many ways in which we support Suffolk's LGBT+ population. These include free counselling, social gatherings and equality and diversity training.
Do you identify as gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgender or non-binary? Does your sexuality or gender fall outside hetronormitivity? Are you a carer, friend or relative of someone who you think may require support?

GenderXplored - a self-help group for over 18's who are exploring their gender identity, whether you are still thinking about it, identify as non-binary, have started accessing medical treatment for gender reassignment, or have long completed the process and simply want to meet kindred spirits.
The group now meets fortnightly at the La Tour Cafe in Tower St Ipswich.
GenderXplored meetings are being re-launched on Wednesday evenings, every two weeks, and alternately Open and Themed.
All the evenings will have an Open first hour, and then a discussion. The themed evenings will have a speaker followed by a discussion in the second hour.
We have come up with three broad themes "My Journey", "Ask Anything", "Making the most of your body", and we'll be trying these out over the next 6 months.
"My journey" themes explore from personal experience what worked and what still need work - with variations - we will be inviting trans men & women & non-binary people who can give the rest of us the benefit of their knowledge & experience.
"Ask anything" sessions will be with an invited professional and will cover psychotherapy, Hate crime, legal rights and law, transgender rights, name change, internet security and hopefully someone from a Gender Identity clinic.
"Making the Most of Your Body" will cover endocrinologists, surgeons, hair removal, Voice training, and we hope to have a session on Fashion For All Body Shapes.
Under 18? GenderXplored is for over 18's, and we are aware that there are a range of personal needs depending on your age and the direction(or not) of your journey. The needs of trans-men are different to trans-women, and different again for non-binary people - and again it depends on whether you are 18 to 30, 30 to 50, or older as social conditions have been very different over the years. For under 18's we have linked with Outreach youth, a youth project in Ipswich provides support to LGBT young people through one to one support and youth LGBT groups.
If this is you, contact them on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We all need support for the journey that we embark on to discover who we are - GenderXplored aims to be a friendly diverse accepting context to help you on your journey, and where you can also help others.
